I love my country and I love Africa, Yemi Alade’s song with Sauti Sol “Africa” just made me think about the question “If you had a wish would you change your country?” I know what my answer would be what about you. One of the reasons why Nigeria is so blessed is because we are creative, spontaneous and die hard workers. If you have lived outside the shores of this great country you would realize that we really are hard working, sharp and smart.
We are known for our creativity in many aspects including with our hairstyles, because we are of different tribes our cultural heritage is so vast, you can only grasp the surface, or the ones that you can see at hand. Nigerian women are stylish and are creative, right from the onset, our mothers have always derived pleasure in their good looks and this generation is no different.
Our hair is our crowning glory therefore proper time should be put into it’s care; remember when you were younger, your mother would put your head between her laps every week just to make sure that your hair is in place, this wasn’t fun, admittedly you cried a few times but afterward you go to the mirror and stare and your beautiful hairdo, why did you do this? Simple, you looked prettier one’s your hair was done. Hair depicts neatness, therefore if your hair isn’t neat or properly kept then you would look haggard, you do not want that.
