PEOPLE YOU NEED TO HAVE ON YOUR SPEED DIAL BEFORE BABY’S ARRIVAL

 Soon-to-be Mums!
Despite telling family members it’s not necessary to come to the hospital, many couples end up with a waiting room full of loved ones eagerly anticipating the birth of their baby. Trust me, there’s nothing as cute as a newborn to get people out of the comfort of their houses just to see this newborn.
There are a few persons however, who aren’t so caught up in your life’s current events that they’ll be conveniently waiting for you, but they might very well be some of your first calls after the birth; these are certain resources you should definitely have on speed dial before heading to the hospital to ease a bit of stress and enjoy the time with your new baby as much as possible:
Baby's arrival
Baby’s arrival
Here are the six persons you need to have on your speed dial before baby’s arrival;
1.Pediatrician:
It is expected of you to have selected a doctor for your child before delivering thus, it is wise to have them ready for urgent medical questions. Baby’s first appointments are equally set up by these people.
2.Babysitter:
You obviously would not want to be scrambling post-birth for someone to watch them, if you have other children. Although your family may be up for taking shifts, it’s good to have a nanny or sitter poised to take over just in case. There should be someone you can turn to for help with childcare if you are feeling overwhelmed.
3.Lactation consultant:
Mums often need assistance after going home, despite having help made available to them at the hospital. Finding one beforehand, whether you end up using them or not, is a good idea.
4.Backup pediatrician:
You won’t know how you feel about your baby’s doctor until after the first few visits. Do they rush you through the appointment? Do they seem to brush aside your concerns? Instead of feeling stuck with someone you are not too comfortable with, try having a shortlist of other recommended practices in your area.
5.Anywhere you buy baby gear:
Always have your local store’s number ready at all times to see if they can help you better over the phone than online. It’s possible you didn’t want to know the sex of your baby before now, or the baby came early and an essential piece of gear wouldn’t have arrived or been ordered yet. Getting in touch here is important.
No man is an island. You truly need these people before your baby’s arrival
