Lets go with dual styling this week, what do you think? I’ve always said the Ankara fabric has come to stay and with every picture I see on instagram my thoughts are re-affirmed but has the Ankara fabric become acceptable in many organisation? Things are definitely different today than they were 10 years or less ago but this doesn’t mean the corporate world has totally embraced the Ankara fabric with open arms. Many times only creatives can pull off the Ankara styles to work because of course creatives are free to create any style they like but for the strict and semi strict corporate environment workers its much more difficult according to research.
Note that this doesn’t mean the Ankara fabric cannot be worn to major corporations, it just means you have to be cautious with the choice of pattern and designs. Many big corporations find loud designs and patterns very alarming since it doesn’t quite fit into their sphere, they tend to stick with dull colors like navy blue and only allow for other cool colors like blush pink. This however is a big deal because the Ankara pattern is know to be vibrant and boisterous but we have discovered that aside’s the vibrant colors that we see all the time a woman working in a semi corporate or full corporate environment can still make a statement in an Ankara fabric.
